The first Hershey's Chocolate World is located off of Hersheypark Drive, in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and is in an entertainment complex that also includes Hersheypark, Hersheypark Stadium, Hersheypark Arena, Hershey Museum, and Giant Center. The Las Vegas location is where the Broadway Theatre used to be.
Hersheypark (known as Hershey Park until 1970) is a family theme park in Hershey, Pennsylvania, about fifteen miles (25 km) east of Harrisburg, and 95 miles (155 km) west of Philadelphia. The park was founded in 1906, [3] [4] [6] by Milton S. Hershey [7] as a leisure park for the employees of the Hershey Chocolate Company.
This region (also considered an attraction) opened in 1978 and operates year-round. The area ZooAmerica uses was previously Hershey Park Zoo, from 1910 to 1971. This was the first expansion for Hersheypark after the early 1970s renovations. ZooAmerica features animals from North America and is divided up into regions.

In 1976, the company changed its name from Hershey Estates to Herco, Inc., because of public perception that Hershey Estates referred to land that Milton Hershey once owned. [16] The new name was found to be confusing, so Herco began doing business as Hershey Entertainment & Resort Co. in 1980. [ 17 ]
Hershey's Chocolate World is a factory store and virtual tour ride of the Hershey Company. The original Hershey Chocolate Factory, located downtown alongside Chocolate Avenue, was closed in 2012 due to high operational costs. [17] Although many of the former factory buildings have been demolished, several were converted to modern office space. [18]
