Big Ridge State Park is a state park in Union County, Tennessee, in the southeastern United States. The park consists of 3,687 acres (14.92 km 2 ) on the southern shore of the Norris Reservoir , an impoundment of the Clinch River created by the completion of Norris Dam in 1936.
After his industrial operations were destroyed by a flood in September 1821, Crockett left the area and moved to West Tennessee. The park was established in 1959 on 1,100 acres (450 ha) of land that includes the site where Crockett had his mills and distillery. [2] [3] Park facilities include reconstructions of a dam and mill.
