Kayla Ewell (born August 27, 1985) is an American actress known for her roles on television as Caitlin Ramirez on CBS's long-running soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful, as Maureen Sampson on NBC's Freaks and Geeks, and as Vicki Donovan on The CW's The Vampire Diaries.
It follows Elena Gilbert portrayed by Nina Dobrev as she begins to get over her parents' death, when two vampires pull her into a world she didn't know before, Stefan and Damon Salvatore, portrayed by Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder, respectively. Kayla Ewell portrayed Vicki Donovan for the first seven episodes until her character was killed off.
Kelly Donovan, portrayed by Melinda Clarke in season one, is the mother of Matt and Vicki Donovan, who returns to Mystic Falls and learns her daughter has died. After a long absence from the series, Kelly makes a brief return in season eight.
In the end, Kelly reveals that Katherine's plan was to distract them with the house fire while the now resurrected Vicki Donovan returns and begins ringing the Maxwell bell to bring hellfire to Mystic Falls. As the bell rings, Bonnie falls to the ground, nose bleeding, and presumably dying.
