Hongya Cave at night as seen from Qiansimen Bridge. Hongya Cave, also known as Hongya Dong (Chinese: 洪崖洞; pinyin: hóng gyá dòng; lit. ' cave of the flooded cliff ') is an 11-story stilt-building complex in the main commercial district of Jiefangbei in the city of Chongqing, China.

Jiefangbei consists of a large pedestrian square [1] surrounding the 27.5-meter (90 ft)-tall People's Liberation Monument (celebrating China's victory in World War II). The 25,000 square meters (270,000 sq ft) shopping square is flanked by a large number of large multinational department stores, streetfront luxury boutiques, and upscale restaurants, as well as commercial supertall skyscrapers.
Chongqing is known for its wide variety of local food traditions, especially the ubiquitous, spicy "hotpot"; while Ciqikou is one of the best-known places in Chongqing. Jiaoyan Peanut, Maoxuewang, and Qianzhangpi, called the three treasures of Ciqikou, as well as Douban fish, are the most popular. [citation needed]
The Dazu Rock Carvings [1] (Chinese: 大 足 石 刻; pinyin: Dàzú Shíkè) are a series of Chinese religious sculptures and carvings and UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Dazu District, Chongqing, China. The carvings date back as far as the 7th century AD, depicting and influenced by Buddhist, Confucian and Taoist beliefs.
The massive mausoleum comprises the grave mound with a height above 50 m (160 ft) and numerous accompanying pits with funerary objects. Of these, the most famous is the Terracotta Army (pictured), thousands of life-sized and realistic terracotta statues of warriors, as well as horses and chariots. The site was discovered in 1974.
