The Beverly Estate is a property built in 1926 [1] [2] at 1011 North Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills, California. [3]The estate was designed by architect Gordon Kaufmann for banker Milton Getz [4] and was the residence of actress Marion Davies and her partner William Randolph Hearst after his infirmity forced them to leave San Simeon. [5]
In May 1947, Hearst's health compelled him and Marion Davies to leave the castle for the last time. He died in Los Angeles in 1951. Morgan died in 1957. The following year, the Hearst family gave the castle and many of its contents to the State of California and the mansion was opened to the public in June 1958.

The Beach House is on the location of a now-demolished 110-room mansion that was built for Marion Davies by William Randolph Hearst. The mansion's original pool was rehabilitated by the Annenberg Foundation and opened to the public on a fee-for-entry basis in 2009. The pool is trimmed in tile and has a marble deck.
