Randolph County is a county located in the U.S. state of North Carolina.As of the 2020 census, the population was 144,171. [1] Its county seat is Asheboro. Asheboro was named after Samuel Ashe, the ninth governor of North Carolina (1795–1798), and became the county seat of Randolph County in 1796.
