Le Signe du lion (The Sign of Leo) is a black and white French drama film directed by Éric Rohmer, which was filmed on location in Paris in the summer of 1959 but not released until May 1962. [1] His first full-length work, it is not however one of his Six Moral Tales .
His credits include Les Filles de Caleb, Cormoran , Les Machos , Sous le sign du lion, Intimate Power and Monsieur le ministre . A bilingual, Lussier also acted in Grey Owl. His last credit was in Reasonable Doubt in 2023. [2] Lussier was the host of the game show Zizanie from 1990 to 1992.
Chabrol's company AJYM produced Rohmer's feature directorial debut, The Sign of Leo (Le Signe du lion) in 1959. In the film an American composer spends the month of August waiting for his inheritance while all his friends are on vacation and gradually becomes impoverished. It included music by Louis Sagver. Sous le signe du lion is a Quebec television series comprising thirty 30-minute episodes, directed by Jean-Pierre Sénécal and broadcast in 1961. A two-season remake (thirteen 60-minute episodes each season) was broadcast in 1997 and in 2000. The original screenplay was written by Françoise Loranger.
