The Sipsey Wilderness lies within Bankhead National Forest around the Sipsey Fork of the Black Warrior River in northwestern Alabama, United States.Designated in 1975 and expanded in 1988, 24,922-acre (10,086 ha) Sipsey is the largest and most frequently visited Wilderness area in Alabama and contains dozens of waterfalls.

Belle Fontaine (/ ˌ b ɛ l f ɒ n ˈ t ɛ n /; French: [bɛl fɔ̃ˈtɛn] ⓘ) is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Mobile County, Alabama, United States, on the western shore of Mobile Bay. It is located south of the city of Mobile, along the stretch of shore between the Deer River and the Fowl River.
The refuge is located near Grand Bay, Alabama in Mobile County, Alabama and Jackson County, Mississippi, and when complete will encompass over 32,000 acres (130 km 2). The refuge is part of the National Wildlife Refuge system.
Grand Bay Historic District is a historic district in Grand Bay, Alabama. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990, the district comprises twelve acres and the three remaining original buildings from Grand Bay's central business district.
