2011 BMW S1000RR. The S1000RR was released in 2009 and was considered the best-equipped sport bike in the 1000 cc category, and with a bore and stroke of 80.0 mm × 49.7 mm (3.1 in × 2.0 in), it also had the biggest bore in its class. The bike came factory fitted with ABS and dynamic traction control, a first for road-going superbike at the time.
The M1, however, was more of a racecar in domestic trim than an everyday driver. The direction of the M cars changed with the 1979 release of the M535i, which was a high performance version of BMW's popular 5 Series mid-size sedan. In 1993, BMW Motorsport GmbH changed their name to BMW M GmbH.
The front suspension is a 45 mm (1.77 in) inverted telescopic fork, which is decreased in size from 46 mm (1.81 in), that is claimed to optimize flex and mid-corner feel. BMW Dynamic Damping Control (DDC) semi-active suspension is still available on the S1000RR as an option, which has been enhanced with updated damping settings.

In 1991, BMW increased the displacement of the K100 from 987 cc to 1,097 cc and the model designation became the K1100. The K1100LT was the first with the new engine displacement. In 1998 BMW increased the size again to 1,170 cc. This upgraded flat-four engine appeared in the K1200RS.
The BMW HP4 Race is a 999 cc (61.0 cu in) four-cylinder engine sport bike made by BMW Motorrad in 2017 in a limited-production run of 750 units. [1] It is a non- street-legal , track-only version of the HP4 variant of the BMW S1000RR .
