Morgan was born in Huntsville, Alabama, the eldest of ten children of Calvin and Henrietta (Hunt) Morgan.He was an uncle of geneticist Thomas Hunt Morgan and a maternal grandson of John Wesley Hunt, an early founder of Lexington, Kentucky, and one of the first millionaires west of the Allegheny Mountains.
Blountville is a census-designated place (CDP) in and the county seat [5] of Sullivan County, Tennessee. The population was 3,074 at the 2010 census [ 6 ] and 3,120 at the 2020 census. It is the only Tennessee county seat not to be an incorporated city or town.
