The Harbor Towers are two 40-story residential towers located on the waterfront of Boston, Massachusetts, in between the New England Aquarium and the Rowes Wharf mixed-use development. Harbor Towers I, the taller of the two towers, stands at 400 ft (121.9 m), while Harbor Towers II rises 396 ft (120.7 m).
The Riviera is an historic apartment building at 270 Huntington Avenue in Boston, Massachusetts. Built in 1923, it is a seven-story brick and concrete structure developed by Coleman & Gilbert and designed by Fred A. Norcross. Norcross was a prolific builder of apartment and tenement blocks for the city's burgeoning immigrant population.
The Massachusetts Office of Coastal Zone Management limits its definition of the South Shore to the municipalities between Boston Harbor and Cape Cod, which includes Atlantic coastal and coastal watershed areas "from the three-mile (5 km) limit of the state territorial sea to 100 feet (30 m) beyond the first major land transportation route encountered (a road, highway, rail line, etc.)". [4]
The beach is a part of a three-mile segment of parks along the South Boston shoreline. [1] The closest subway stop is the JFK/UMass station on the Red Line , approximately a half-mile away. In the mid-1990s, the beach's water quality was deemed unsafe due to sewage matter and other biological debris, and the beach had to be shut down.
Winthrop Beach is the main beach of Winthrop, Massachusetts. It is located along Winthrop Shore Drive, spanning the roadway. The beach begins off Crest Avenue at an area known as the "Green Bars", named for the green railings along the seawall. The beach ends at the base of Water Tower Hill.
