Universalist National Memorial Church (UNMC) is a Unitarian Universalist church located at 1810 16th Street, Northwest in the Dupont Circle vicinage of Washington, D.C. [1] Theologically, the church describes itself as "both liberal Christian and Universalist". [2]
Notwithstanding its tendency toward independence, Universalist congregations supported the construction of The Universalist National Memorial Church in Washington, D.C., to serve as the official church of Universalism. In 1921, the Universalist General Convention approved funds for the building of the church and services began in 1925.
The church was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. The Unitarian Memorial Church in Fairhaven was built, financed and donated to the Unitarians in 1904 by Henry H. Rogers in memory of his mother, Mary Eldredge Huttleston. The church was designed by Boston architect Charles Brigham in a Gothic Revival style. [4]

The Unitarian Universalist Church of Buffalo is an historic church complex located at 695 Elmwood Avenue, in Buffalo, New York. The building was designed by architect Edward Austin Kent in 1906. [2] Kent died in 1912 aboard the RMS Titanic and a memorial plaque is located in the church honoring him. [3]

Chapin Memorial Church is a historic Universalist church at 12 Ford Avenue in Oneonta, Otsego County, New York. It was built in 1894 and is a one and a half-story brick building on a tall, cut stone foundation. The facade consists of two parts: the main body of the church and the engaged three stage tower and entrance bay.
