This is a list of colleges and universities in the United States Virgin Islands. This list also includes other educational institutions providing higher education , meaning tertiary, quaternary , and in some cases, post-secondary education.
As of the 2010 census, the population of Saint Thomas was 51,634, [5] about 48.5% of the total population of the United States Virgin Islands. Crown Mountain is the highest point in Saint Thomas and in the entire United States Virgin Islands. Hence, it is called "Rock City". [6] The island has a land area of 32 square miles (83 km 2). [7]
The St. Croix campus is located on Estate Golden Grove in mid-island. The St. Thomas campus is three miles (5 km) from Charlotte Amalie, the capital of the territory. The St. Thomas campus is situated on two hills and it has its own beach (John Brewer's Bay beach) which can be directly accessed off the main road which cuts through the campus.
The Colonial Law of 1863 divided the islands into two municipalities: St. Croix, and St. Thomas–St. John. [2] Each municipality was served by a Colonial Council. [2] After the United States had purchased the islands, the U.S. Congress passed the Organic Act of 1936, under which the two Colonial Councils became Municipal Councils. [2]

The All Saints Cathedral School, founded in 1928, is a private Episcopal college preparatory day school located on the island of St. Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands on Commandant Gade, or Garden Street. [1] [2] It serves students from all over the island.
Charlotte Amalie High School (CAHS) is a public high school housing a population of just over 1400 students, and over 130 members of faculty and staff.It is located in what is colloquially called the "town area" of the island of St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands.
