After the upgrade to AOL mail, you might notice the organization of your folders has changed. Any subfolders will now be listed along with your other folders. All of your folders and subfolders will now be listed in alphabetical order. Continue to create and manage folders in AOL Mail to keep your inbox organized.
1. Mouse over the folder you want to add a subfolder to. 2. Click the Folder Options icon . 3. Select Create subfolder. 4. Enter a new subfolder name. 5. Click the Save icon.
Filters - Review your settings to see if filters are sending emails to another folder. If you find any unexpected filters, check to see if your account may have been compromised. Search for them - Locate misplaced emails using our basic or advanced search options. Spam and Trash - These folders don't show in search results. Check them manually.

You can review your filter settings in New AOL Mail and edit or delete any incorrect filters • If you're using a mobile app or program that's setup to delete email from the server, you'll need to contact the manufacturer for help.
Check for emails in your Spam folder. If you find emails in your Spam folder that don't belong there, you'll need to mark the messages as "not spam." 1. Sign in to AOL Mail. 2. Click the Spam folder. 3. Select the message that isn't spam. 4. At the top of the page, click Not Spam.
Sorting your emails from your folders has never been easier in AOL Mail. Use the sorting feature regardless of the folder you are in to rearrange the emails and find the ones important, click on Sort on top right of your emails list and choose the option that best suits your need. • Date - Newest on top. • Date - Oldest on top.
