A parade and rally will be held beginning at 11 a.m. Wednesday to celebrate the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory over San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII.
Snake Saturday began in 1983 as a promotion for the Rodeway Inn in Kansas City with a parade in the hotel's parking lot, allowing guests to watch from their rooms. [2] It was founded by Mickey Finn and Bill Grigsby. The parade was composed of four floats, and temperatures were cold. [2] [3] The event has been held annually since.
The parade will start at 11 a.m. Central Time, with players partying on a route through downtown Kansas City to Union Station. An hour-long rally is expected to begin at 12:45 p.m.
Five “park-and-ride” options are available across the Kansas City metro as an estimated 400 buses will be on hand to bring parade-goers to and from downtown.
