The George W. Smith House is a home in Oak Park, a suburb of Chicago, Illinois, United States, designed by American architect Frank Lloyd Wright in 1895. It was constructed in 1898 and occupied by a Marshall Field & Company salesman. The design elements were employed a decade later when Wright designed the Unity Temple in Oak Park.

The Chicago Park Boulevard System Historic District, which encompasses most of the Boulevard System, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018. [14] The approved listing, stretches approximately 26 miles, including 8 parks, 19 boulevards, and 6 squares, as well as adjacent properties that preserve structures built from the 19th century to the 1940s.

According to a plaque in the park, it was a gift from Edward M. Quinn, whose house formerly stood on the site, in memory of his wife Mary Burkemeier Quinn. [4] [5] His will instructed that his house be demolished, a minimum of 21 trees be planted on the property, and the property deed to be given to the Chicago Park District.
