The 2025 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships (2025 WJHC) was the 49th edition of the Ice Hockey World Junior Championship, held from December 26, 2024 to January 5, 2025. The United States won their second consecutive championship, defeating Finland 4–3 in overtime of the gold medal game.
Its success can be traced back to the formation of the Program of Excellence in 1982 by the Canadian Amateur Hockey Association, which created the first true national junior team. Since that time, Canada has won 20 of 42 World Junior championships – including five in a row on two occasions, 1993–1997 and 2005–2009.

Chaz Lucius scored a hat-trick after a deflection off Swedish goaltender Carl Lindbom found its way to Lucius, who slotted it in the side netting to score the winning goal in overtime.
