On their way home from the Malt Shop, Mystery, Inc. encounters the ghost of Mr. Hyde in the rear of the Mystery Machine, who races through the marsh and sneaks into a haunted house. This place turns out to be the residence of Dr. Jekyll (the great-grandson of the novel's titular character), who fears he might be transformed into Mr. Hyde.
