Kaneki frees the powerful ghoul Matasaka Kamishiro, commonly known as Sachi, a ghoul who had a personal relationship with Rize. However, Kaneki is attacked by him and badly beaten. Eto arrives and greets Shachi, asking if he would like to see Rize. Meanwhile, a worn out Kaneki begins devouring ghoul corpses in desperation.
