Woodland Park is a neighborhood in Columbus, Ohio bordered by Maryland Avenue to the north, Nelson Road to the east, East Broad Street to the south, and Taylor Avenue to the west. The earliest houses in the subdivision were built around 1900 with most filling in the area between then and 1920.
The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976 and the Columbus Register of Historic Properties in 1982; the district boundaries differ between the two entries. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] The Snowden-Gray House , a High Victorian -style two-and-a-half-story mansion with a cupola , built in 1852, is salient in the district.
In 1910 the development was annexed to the City of Columbus and in 1912 Glen Echo Park was dedicated to the city. Most of the homes in the Glen Echo neighborhood were built between 1909 and 1943 and include American Craftsman style bungalows, Shingle Style , Tudor Revival and Colonial Revival , many with front and/or sleeping porches.
