Fenn's home in Dereham, Norfolk, now a hotel. Sir John Fenn (26 November 1739 – 14 February 1794) was an English antiquary.He is best remembered for collecting, editing, and publishing the Paston Letters, describing the life and political scheming of the gentry in Medieval England.
John Bennett Fenn (June 15, 1917 – December 10, 2010) was an American professor of analytical chemistry who was awarded a share of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2002. He shared half of the award with Koichi Tanaka for their work in mass spectrometry .

In 1787 John Fenn published a selection of the letters in two volumes, bringing general interest to the collection. Fenn published two further volumes of letters in 1789. [1] Before he died in 1794 he prepared a fifth volume for publication, which was posthumously published in 1823 by his nephew William Frere.
