In 1976, H&MS-41 assisted in the VMF(AW)-112 squadron upgrade to the McDonnell Douglas F-4N Phantom II, which re-designated them as Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 112 (VMFA-112). In January 1989, H&MS-41 was redesignated as Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 41. The squadron's mission was to provide maintenance and logistical support for VMFA-112.
