Pembroke is an attractive suburban community located in the South Shore area of southeastern Massachusetts. The Town is located 26 miles south of Boston, 16 miles north of Plymouth and 14 miles east of Brockton. The Town’s 2014 population was 19,563 up from a level of 14,544 in 1990.
Curbside Trash and Recycling Program. General Information: After a vote of Pembroke residents at town meeting effective July 1, 2011, the Town of Pembroke implemented curbside, single stream recycling.

Building & Inspectional Services. The Building Department has transitioned to an upgraded version of the online permitting system. All contractors must register in order to pull permits as of July 8, 2024. SimpliCITY online permits will be available for all Building, Electrical, Sheet Metal, Plumbing, and Gas permits.
