Estacada / ˌ ɛ s t ə ˈ k eɪ d ə / is a city in Clackamas County, Oregon, United States, about 30 miles (48 km) southeast of Portland. The 2020 population is estimated to be 3,700. The 2020 population is estimated to be 3,700.
It is located at the eastern terminus of Oregon Route 224, at an intersection with forest highways 46 and 57, in the Mount Hood National Forest. [2] It is near the confluence of the Clackamas River with the Oak Grove Fork Clackamas River, [2] and is the only community on the route between Estacada and Detroit. [3]
The new generation of remote sites, master stations, and central computer facilities allows for hourly interrogation of remote sites. The system has the ability to vary the configuration of a remote site by transmitting the appropriate commands telling the remote site what sensors to turn on or what parameters to send.
The use of video cameras to measure medium-term coastal processes was pioneered by Oregon State University in the late 1980s. Since the 1990s, OSU has collaborated with other universities and research institutes around the world to create a global network of Argus monitoring stations. Presently there are more than 30 active stations worldwide.
