    I share your opinion in preferring #000, pure black. Been using the Dark Mode Gadget for a while now and it seems to do that. The "Color (beta)" Dark Mode option on the right side is too bright/grey for my tastes, but I see on this Talk page that there are different opinions. Some apps on my phone actually distinguish the two.
