Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah was born on October 2, 1971, in Cairo. He received his early education at the Modern English School in Kuwait from 1979 to 1986, before moving to Geneva where he attended Collège du Léman, graduating with a high school diploma in 1988.

Gulf English School Kuwait (GES) is a private, co-educational, international school that is currently located in the suburb of Salmiya, Kuwait. The school has a selective intake of students aged 4–18. Most teaching programmes are based on the National Curriculum of England.
