Lampasas (/ l æ m ˈ p æ s ə s / lam-PASS-əs) is a city in Lampasas County, Texas, United States. Its population was 7,291 at the 2020 census. [4] It is the county seat of Lampasas County. [6] Lampasas is part of the Killeen–Temple–Fort Hood metropolitan statistical area.
Colorado Bend State Park is a 5,328.3-acre (2,156 ha) state park located in the Hill Country region of the U.S. state of Texas, mostly in San Saba County. It was purchased by the state in 1984 and opened to the public in 1987.

The house was completed in 1933. The Barbour family frequently hosted community events at their house, including the Spanish Institute of Florida's annual party, giving it the name Casa Feliz in the 1960s. In 1951, the Barbour family sold the property and in 2000, the City of Winter Park acquired the building. [1]
The annual festivals in Lometa are a spring Diamondback Jubilee, [6] an annual livestock show, and a summer junior rodeo. Lometa has one traffic light, a recent improvement as of 2003 from the original four-way stop, in the middle of town. On the edge of town is a municipal park with camping sites and a rodeo arena and grounds.
Bend is located on Farm to Market Road 580 on the western leg of a horseshoe-shaped bend in the Colorado River, 14 mi (23 km) southeast of San Saba in southeastern San Saba and western Lampasas Counties. [3] It is also located 26 mi (42 km) west of Lampasas and 95 mi (153 km) northwest of Austin via U.S. Route 183. [4]
