Open the door a few inches. Gently lift the back of the door. If it moves up, then you need to replace a bushing.

From the picture, I can't tell if those are solid rivets or hollow shanks. Solids, all you need is a set and a bucking bar- the set goes on the head and the bucking bar goes on the small end- the tail.

  7. How to safely jack up a C4 - Corvette Forum

Thanx! To change the oil you can, most likely, put your jack under the front of the car and use the engine cradle, then you can put the jackstands on either the frame right in front of the doors or the K bracing. If you jack the whole nose I wouldn't worry about body flex. For the Transmission cable you don't need to jack the car up.

So much sometimes I'm afraid I'm going to break the key off in the lock. I have owned the car 2 1/2 years and the lock has gotten stiffer with time.

Remove the strut from the ball. 3. Remove the spring on the other end. 4. Remove the strut from the ball. Replace with a new strut and don't forget to push the spring back into place. The strut is not interchangeable, the sleeve goes on the hood and the piston (the part that goes into the sleeve) goes on the engine bay are.

  10. How to repair a sagging door - Corvette Forum

    www.digitalcorvettes.com/threads/how-to-repair-a-sagging-door.144040

Remove the door. Leave the hinges on the car. Careful: A complete Corvette door is heavy and extremely bulky. You might be able to manhandle it by yourself, but a second person is a good idea. You can also make a cradle for the door and "ride" it away from the car on your floor jack. With the door out of the way, you can get to the hinges.

Directly under the steering column are three 'knobs': Two identical grey plastic things which you can pull down. These are the vacuum overrides for the headlight doors (left) and windshield wiper door (right), respectively. In the middle, there is a round knob which is an electrical switch. You can turn - not pull - it.
