Bill Barretta is an American puppeteer, producer, writer, director, and actor, best known for his involvement with the Muppets.Barretta performs the Muppet characters Pepe the King Prawn, Bobo the Bear and Johnny Fiama, as well as inheriting the roles of Rowlf the Dog, The Swedish Chef, and Dr. Teeth from Jim Henson.
The puppets for Sprocket the Dog, Begoony, Mudwell the Mudbunny, Murray the Minstrel, Aretha, Wander McMooch, Brool the Minstrel, and the Inkspots make cameo appearances in The Muppet Christmas Carol. Begooney was shown as the child of the characters depicted by Mudwell and Murray. Sprocket was seen in a crowd cameo.
After Mudwell becomes quiet, Wembley realizes that the Mudbunny has died. When Wembley sees his four friends again, he's really sad, so all four of them- and The World's Oldest Fraggle- try to cheer him up but fail. Finally Gobo tells him that, even though Mudwell's gone, there's ways of keeping part of him alive.

Mudwell's Lizard form was later recycled in Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock as Grizzard (performed by Kanja Chen).
