Patan Hospital is one of the largest hospitals in Nepal. [citation needed] It uses modern equipment and facilities to provide treatment for almost 320,000 outpatients and 20,000 inpatients every year. Patan Hospital staff conduct more than 10,000 operations annually. The hospital has been operating with an annual revenue of around US$3.5 million.
The hospital was advanced as Rapti Sub-regional Hospital in 2065 BS (2008-2009). Later, the number of beds were upgraded from 50 to 100 in 2071 BS (2014-2015) by the Government of Nepal . In 2074 BS (2017-2018) Rapti Sub-regional Hospital was promoted to Rapti Academy of Health Sciences and currently is a 300 bedded tertiary level hospital.
It is referred as one of the largest hospital in Nepal. People living in Salyan, Rolpa, Rukum, Pyuthan and Jajarkot also takes advantage of this hospital service. According to Government of Nepal it was upgraded to 50 bedded hospital in 2065 BS (2008-2009). [2] Currently, it's running with 141 functioning beds as a provincial hospital. [3]
