Lake Manatee State Park (Lake Manatee State Recreation Area) is a 556-acre (2.3 km 2) State Park in the U.S. state of Florida, located on the south shore of 2,400-acre (10 km 2) Lake Manatee. It is 9 miles (14 km) east of I-75 on State Road 64 in Bradenton. It is made up of pine flatwoods, Sand Pine scrub, marshes, and hardwood forests.
On January 23, 1968, Manatee Springs was the first spring to become a Florida State Park after it was sold to the state. Excavations at Manatee Spring Park have revealed that the Indian village was heavily populated throughout history. Fragments of pottery, bone awls, and arrowheads, mostly including materials from the Weeden Island period.

The park was re-landscaped and dedicated in 2022. A hand pump that pulls water from the spring onto a relief map of the Manatee River was added. The park has picnic tables and a small gazebo. A boardwalk extends into the Manatee River. The park adjoins the Reflections of Manatee Historic Complex at the Curry Houses Historic District. [8]
