Kadavil Chandy Kathanar (c. 1588-1673), also known as Alexander the Indian (Syriac: ܐܲܠܟܣܲܢܕܪܘܿܣ ܗ̤ܢܕܘܿܝܐ, romanized: Alaksandros hendwāyā) was a Kathanar (priest) and a celebrated scholar, orator, hymnographer and syriacist from the Saint Thomas Christian community in India.
