After building the fundamental structure of the educational system, the Ministry of Education established a number of specialised institutions to meet the increasing demand for skilled manpower. The other ministries established their own training centres and institutes as well.
Kuwait University (KU), (in Arabic: جامعة الكويت), was established in October 1966 under Act N. 29/1966. [1] [2] The university was officially inaugurated on 27 November 1966 to include the College of Science, the College of Arts, the College of Education and the College for Women.
The college was established in 1995 in cooperation with Staff College, Camberley.On 18 August 1997, the college was named Mubarak al-Abdullah Command and Staff College in honor of Lieutenant General Mubarak Al-Abdullah, the former Chief of General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army during 1963 to 1980.
