Da Cruz is a Brazilian World music group composed of Mariana Da Cruz, Swiss producer Ane Hebeisen (Ane H.), guitar player Oliver Husmann and percussionist Pit Lee. Da Cruz was formed in 2005 when Hebeisen, formerly of the Swiss industrial-electro group Swamp Terrorists, met Da Cruz, a Bossa Nova singer in an Irish pub, in Lisbon while touring Portugal.

On 18 July 2024, La Cruz releases his single Sahara, [10] which was said to be featured on an upcoming album. The accompanied music video was released simultaneously via YouTube. The second single, Fancy, was released on 26 September 2024 along with its music video. [11] On October 2024, La Cruz releases his 2nd studio album, titled El Nene Vol.1.

Raúl Planas was born in Camajuaní, Villa Clara province, Cuba on September 18, 1920. [note 1] At thirteen, he joined a number of son groups in his native town, [2] such as Benito De Amas, Cervantes en Remedios and others, [1] and developed into a prominent singer in both son and bolero styles.
In early 2003, [5] following a partially successful surgery to remove the tumor, Cruz returned to the studio to record her seventieth album, Regalo del Alma, [4] weeks after the operation. [ 6 ] In February 2003, the Spanish-language television network Telemundo announced that it would produce and air a tribute concert honoring Cruz. [ 7 ]
