Stonebow Village is a civil parish in Borough of Charnwood, Leicestershire, England. [1] [2] In 2021 the parish had a population of 9.[3]The parish was created on 1 April 2019, from parts of the parishes of Shepshed and Hathern and part of the unparished area of Loughborough.

Many of the craggy rocks of Charnwood Forest are of volcanic origin and are very old, dating back through 600 million years to Precambrian times. [9] It was the site of the first-ever recorded discovery of Charnia masoni, the earliest-known large, complex fossilised species on record, recovered from a quarry near the Charnwood village of Woodhouse Eaves.

Inside Nanpantan is a gastropub called The Priory. There is a small church here: Saint Mary in Charnwood, originally built as a mission room by the owner of Nanpantan Hall in 1888. After some years as a chapel of ease to the ecclesiastical parish of Emmanuel, Loughborough, Saint Mary in Charnwood became a parish in its own right, on 1 January 2015.
