Red Clay State Historic Park is a state park located in southern Bradley County, Tennessee, United States.The park preserves the Red Clay Council Grounds, which were the site of the last capital of the Cherokee Nation in the eastern United States from 1832 to 1838 before the enforcement of the Indian Removal Act of 1830. The course opened in 1971. In 1994 Hole #12 was redesigned lengthening the hole by approximately 75 to 100 yards and relocating the green to include the vistas of the lake, while greens on Hole #7 and Hole #13 were rebuilt in 1996–1997. Hole #12 is a 586-yard, par 5 with an elevated green again overlooking the Kentucky Lake.
