Frank Bank (April 12, 1942 – April 13, 2013) was an American actor, particularly known for his role as Clarence "Lumpy" Rutherford on the 1957–1963 situation comedy television series Leave It to Beaver.
The Rutherfords live somewhere in the Cleaver neighborhood, which gives Lumpy the opportunity to bully the Cleaver boys on their way home from school. The boys plot Lumpy's comeuppance, but the plot backfires when Fred accidentally steps into the trap. Although a touch of the bully never leaves Lumpy, he eventually becomes Wally's friend.
Other series regulars included Wally's old friend Eddie Haskell , his wife Gert (Ellen Maxted) and their sons Freddie and Bomber (played by Osmond's two real-life sons), as well as "Lumpy" Rutherford and his daughter J.J., with Diane Brewster returning for four episodes to recreate her role as "Miss Canfield," Beaver's original grade school ...

Eddie and Lumpy tell Wally that they could have a triple date on Sunday, but the girls won't go unless Wally goes. Eddie and Lumpy make a few attempts to get Wally to change his plans, but he's still going camping. Eddie and Lumpy arrive separately Saturday night and try to scare the boys with sound effects of wild animals from a portable ...
At school, Lumpy is getting congratulations from many of the students, even some girls. While at the party, Lumpy learns that he is losing the scholarship because of a poor grade, much to the chagrin of his father. Lumpy doesn't say anything to the people at the party. Fred later tells Ward what happened and Lumpy tells Wally.
