State Route 306 (SR 306) is a west-to-east state route located entirely in Forsyth County, Georgia.The route connects Cumming, the county seat in central Forsyth County, with the northeastern portion of the county, which is bordered to the east by Lake Lanier, and Gainesville, located east of the lake in Hall County.
The highway begins at the intersection between West McIntosh Road and North Expressway, the latter carrying US 19/US 41/SR 3, on the north side of Griffin. SR 92 runs westward away from the intersection in the middle of a commercial area of the city. The highway is a divided as it passes through residential subdivisions to exit town.
Most notable are Sawnee Mountain Preserve, Central Park, Fowler Park, Poole's Mill Covered Bridge and the Big Creek Greenway.
