CNN Tonight is the title of several news programs that were broadcast by U.S. cable network CNN.The CNN Tonight branding has primarily been used for transitional programs aired by CNN in the evening and prime time hours as part of changes to its programming lineup—including the departure (either voluntary or via termination) or reassignment of anchors.
Coates would depart CNN Tonight in March 2023, [3] and was subsequently promoted to chief legal analyst in May 2023. [4] On August 14, 2023, CNN announced that Coates would return to the 11 p.m. hour to host a new program, Laura Coates Live, [5] which premiered on October 16, 2023. [6]
Don Lemon Tonight (formerly CNN Tonight with Don Lemon) is a late evening news commentary program which aired from 2014 until its cancellation in 2022 on CNN, hosted by Don Lemon. [1] [2] [3] The show aired on weeknights live from 10:00 pm to midnight ET.

The show has aired on CNN since August 8, 2005, in the network's evening timeslot. The show currently airs weekdays live from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET from CNN's studios in Washington, D.C. A Saturday edition, recapping the news of the week, was produced from 2008 to 2013.
