Aria Guitars Co. is a Japanese manufacturer of musical instruments. The company, sited in the city of Nagoya , produces electric , acoustic and classical guitars, electric basses and ukuleles through its brands Laule'A, Mojo Gig Bags, Fiesta, José Antonio, Pignose and Kelii.
The company was founded in 1946 by renowned Hawaiian and Spanish guitarist Atsuwo Kaneko and electrical engineer Doryu Matsuda. The company was originally called Aoi Onpa Kenkyujo (roughly: Hollyhock Soundwave or Electricity Laboratories). In 1956, the company name was changed to Nippon Onpa Kogyo Co., and changed to Teisco Co. in 1964.

The Harmony Guitar Company ceased in 1975, [4] and sold the Harmony name. In the early 2000s, an unrelated company, the Westheimer Corp., based in Lake Barrington, Illinois briefly imported "reissue" Harmony guitars. In 2018, BandLab Technologies claimed to be "relaunching" the Harmony brand with a new series of electric guitars and guitar amps.
The Breadwinner was a solid body electric guitar made by the Ovation Guitar Company. It is one of the few solid body electrics the company ever made, and it was the first mass-produced American guitar to have active electronics. [1] It has an unusual ergonomic body made of mahogany and shaped something like an axe guitar.
