Before the Partition of India , Jalandhar was also the headquarters of the Jalandhar Division , with constituent districts Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur , Ludhiana , Ferozepur and Kangra .
The city may be named after Jalandhara, a Nath Guru who was from here.
