Danish rock band Volbeat has released eight studio albums, three live albums, three video albums, twenty-seven singles and twenty-three music videos. Volbeat was founded in Copenhagen in 2001 by former Dominus member, Michael Poulsen. [1] The line up was completed by guitarist Teddy Vang, bassist Anders Kjølholm and drummer Jon Larsen.
Poulsen later showed his affinity towards Social Distortion and taking cues from a "new influence" created Volbeat's distinct sound. Poulsen's father, who was a big fan of Volbeat, died on 27 June 2008, [ 7 ] [ circular reference ] shortly before the release of Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood.

Volbeat's label at the time, Mascot Records, had only a limited distribution deal in the United States, meaning that the album went largely unnoticed in that country. Jon Larsen (born 13 July 1970) is a Danish musician, best known as the drummer for the rock band Volbeat. [1] Larsen joined Volbeat after playing drums for several other bands. [2] The Volbeat band was established by Michael Poulsen in October 2001 and was based on his former group, Dominus. [3]
