T gauge (1:450, 1:480 and 1:500) is a model railway scale with a track gauge of 3 mm (0.118 in), referred to as "three-millimeter gauge" or "third of N scale." It was introduced at the Tokyo Toy Show in 2006 by KK Eishindo of Japan and went on sale in 2007. It is the smallest commercial model train scale in the world.
Popularly used for the small scale live steam. No.1: 1:32: 45 mm (1.772 in) Popularly used for the small scale live steam. Corresponds to NEM 1 or NMRA No. 1. No.3: 1:22.6: 2 + 1 ⁄ 2 in (64 mm) The smallest scale able to pull real passengers. Was one of the first popular live steam gauges, developed in England in the early 1900s.
Z scale is one of the smallest commercially available model railway scales (1:220), with a track gauge of 6.5 mm / 0.256 in.Introduced by Märklin in 1972, Z scale trains operate on 0–10 volts DC and offer the same operating characteristics as all other two-rail, direct-current, analog model railways.

Thus the scale and approximate prototype gauge are represented, with the model gauge used (9 mm for H0e gauge; 6.5 mm for H0f gauge) being implied. [ 2 ] The scales used include the general European modelling range of Z, N, TT, H0, 0 and also the large model engineering gauges of I to X, including 3 + 1 ⁄ 2 , 5, 7 + 1 ⁄ 4 and 10 + 1 ⁄ 4 ...
They put small O-scale superstructures on HO-scale mechanisms and trucks, but when the large company Bachmann issued train sets — originally intended to run around Christmas trees — On30 really took off. Also used in Australia to model 2'6" and other narrow gauge prototypes. On3: 1:48: 19 mm
There are also some extreme narrow gauge railways listed. See: Distinction between a ridable miniature railway and a minimum gauge railway for clarification. Model railway gauges are covered in rail transport modelling scales. Train with model Southern Railway Schools class. Triple-gauge pointwork (3 + 1 ⁄ 2 in, 5 in, and 7 + 1 ⁄ 4 in) on ...
Scale is the model's measurement as a proportion to the original, while gauge is the measurement between the rails. The size of engines depends on the scale and can vary from 700 mm (27.6 in) tall for the largest rideable live steam scales such as 1:4, down to matchbox size for the smallest: Z-scale (1:220) or T scale (1:450).
