Marcotte Nursing Home is an historic elder care facility at 102 Campus Avenue in Lewiston, Maine. Built in 1927 and opened the following year, it was the largest facility of its type in New England, representing a major step forward in the region's elder care. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. [1]

The building was completed in 1902. [2] Since 1902 various renovations, expansions, and modernizations have expanded Saint Mary's to become a larger medical complex.
Founded in 1963 as Androscoggin State Vocational Institute, later changed to Central Maine Vocational Technical Institute, in 1989 its name was changed to Central Maine Technical College. As part of a statewide name change of the technical college system, on July 1, 2003, the school became Central Maine Community College.
It serves most of Androscoggin County, including Lewiston and Auburn, Maine and various small and medium-sized communities. It is designated as a trauma center . The hospital was established in the 1860s and officially incorporated in 1888 by Dr. Edward H. Hill , an alumnus of nearby Bates College and also Harvard Medical School .
