In 2022, Sig Sauer released the P210 Carry originally debuted at the 2010 Shot Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. The P210 Carry is a pistol chambered in 9x19 Parabellum with a capacity of 8+1. The P210 Carry is lighter and smaller than the original P210 featuring an alloy frame and a 4.1 inch barrel instead of the 4.7 inch barrel on the original P210.
SIG Sauer system. The SIG Sauer system is a type of action found in self-loading handguns. It is a refinement of designs based on the work of both John M. Browning and Charles Petter which began with the Colt Model 1900, progressed to the French Model 1935A, and later the SIG P210 handgun.

The Swiss Modell 06/29 pistol served the Swiss Army until well after the adoption of a SIG P210 in 1949, and remained in limited service until the late 1960s. The SIG P210 was also manufactured in this caliber, but only for civilian use; Swiss military issues of the P210 were chambered in 9×19mm Parabellum.
The trigger, hammer, mainspring, and sear assembly were contained in one unit. His design impressed SIG of Switzerland, which licensed it in order to produce their model 47/8 handgun, which became the SIG Sauer P210. Petter's French patent FR 782914 (Swiss: CH 185452 , U.S. patent 2,139,203) was acquired in 1937 by SIG and used for the P210.
Not to be confused with SIG P210 series, which licensed the Petter-Browning system from SACM of France in 1938 [citation needed], the SIG Sauer P220 was developed for release in 1975 for the Swiss Army as a replacement for the SIG P210, [3] which had been developed during World War II; in service it is known as "Pistole 75" (P75).
The article should be named "SIG P210". "SIG Sauer P210" may be a proper designation for the new models produced from 2010 (or from 2017), although it should be noted that it is not called that by SIG Sauer, the models are called "P210 Standard" (or "210A-9-B") and "P210 Target" (or "210A-9-TGT") on the sigsauer.com website.
The P220 was the first SIG Sauer handgun sold in the US. It was marketed initially by Browning as the Browning BDA. [6] The SIG Sauer P220 is a refinement of the Petter-Browning design used in the SIG P210. The locked breech design is very different and was pioneered by SIG Sauer.
