Potomac Senior High School is a public secondary school in unincorporated Prince William County, Virginia, United States; just outside Dumfries. Potomac Senior High School, which serves the nearby incorporated town of Dumfries was established in 1981. When the school first opened there were only freshmen and the students went to school.

Winston Churchill High School was established in 1964 as Potomac High School. The school was renamed to honor Sir Winston Churchill the following year. [3] From 1999 to 2002, Churchill underwent renovations to modernize and revitalize the facilities. There was a formal rededication ceremony on April 21, 2002.

In 1951, Fairfax County, at the request of residents for a black high school, began construction of the Luther Jackson School.
