Old School RuneScape is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), developed and published by Jagex.The game was released on 16 February 2013. When Old School RuneScape launched, it began as an August 2007 version of the game RuneScape, which was highly popular prior to the launch of RuneScape 3.

The Valkyrie first appeared as a guise of the Enchantress in The Avengers #83 (December 1970) and was created by Roy Thomas and John Buscema. Valkyrie no Densetsu was intended as a four-player arcade game early on, featuring multiple Valkyrie characters. Valkyrie no Densetsu was the creation of Namco character artist Hiroshi Fujii, who previously worked on the game's predecessor Valkyrie no Bōken: Toki no Kagi Densetsu, and a designer only known by the pseudonym of "Koakuman".
