The following is a list of the 78 schools who field men's lacrosse teams and the 133 schools who field women's lacrosse teams in NCAA Division I competition, plus two schools that have planned to begin fielding Division I women's lacrosse teams in 2026. Conference affiliations are current for the next 2025 NCAA lacrosse season.
Guilford High School (formally Guilford Senior High School) is a four-year public high school located in Guilford, Connecticut. [ 2 ] [ 3 ] Opened in 1886, the school colors are green and white and the school's mascot is the Grizzlies, formerly the Indians, after the Board of Education voted to change it on June 29, 2020.
The 2024 Premier Lacrosse League Season was the 6th season of the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL). The regular season began on June 3 and ran through August 17th. The playoffs ran from September 2 through September 15. This is the first season where PLL teams were assigned to home cities.

The Friars made their first appearance in the NCAA men's lacrosse tournament in 2004, losing in the first round to Johns Hopkins by a score of 15-3. Since joining the Big East, the program has appeared in one Big East championship game, but were defeated by conference rival Marquette 10-9 on their home field in Providence .
Hartford men's lacrosse was established as a club sport in 1973 until it became a varsity program in 1979. In 1985, Hartford hired John Herbert as head coach for the team's inaugural season in Division 1. Hartford competed as an independent until joining the Northeast Conference in 1993.
