Before 28 October 2011, Oman was divided into five regions and four governorates (). [6] The governorates were Muscat, Dhofar, Buraimi and Musandam. Buraimi Governorate was created in October 2006 from parts of Ad Dhahirah Region.
Al Haur الحور is a residential area situated within A'Suwaiq Wilayat, which is part of the North Al Batinah Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman.
