The Alpine Stake Tabernacle or Alpine Tabernacle, located at 110 East Main Street in American Fork, Utah, United States, functions as a meeting place for large gatherings of members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) in northern Utah County for worship services.
The former Bank of American Fork on Main Street Alpine Stake Tabernacle in American Fork. The area around Utah Lake was used as a seasonal hunting and fishing ground by the Ute Indians. American Fork was settled in 1850 by Mormon pioneers and incorporated as Lake City in 1852.
The area has significance dating back to 1949. The boundaries are roughly 100 South between South 300 West and South 200 East along with parts of West Main Street, 200 West, South 100 West, South Center Street, and South 100 East. At listing the district included 104 contributing buildings.
The building is located at 1 East Main Street in downtown American Fork. It is significant as the only surviving bank building and the "most visually impressive" of four surviving intact historic commercial buildings on Main Street. [3]
